In the ninety years since the introduction of the ship's badge, the Admiralty has approved almost 1,900 original designs. Of these, most are now confined to history, casualties of social change and the continual process of defence rationalisation and fleet reduction. 

Thankfully, the majority have survived various moves and hasty storage.

Author Tim Stopford has spent over 15 years locating and detailing every available badge design approved by the Admiralty since 1919.

This interactive DVD is the result of that work; An encyclopaedia chronicling some 1,860 badges approved for use onboard Her Majesty's warships and submarines, at shore establishments and Fleet Air Arm squadrons.
